1. What is copy-paste.xyz?

copy-paste.xyz is a tool for storing and sharing text and code snippets online. It’s built for programmers to share code quickly, but anyone can use it to store text for easy access.

2. What are the rules for posting?

To keep the service safe, we have a zero-tolerance policy for certain content. Do NOT post:

Malware/Phishing: No links to viruses or fake login pages.
Private Data (Doxing): No password lists, credit card numbers, or personal info.
Illegal Content: No stolen code, hacked data, or extremist material.
Pornography: No adult or non-consensual content.
Spam: No bulk posting or commercial ads.

Violation of these rules will result in an immediate IP/Account ban.

3. Who can see my pastes?

Public: Visible to everyone and indexed by search engines.
Unlisted: Only people with the link can view it.
Private: Only you can view it when logged in.
Password Protected: Viewable only by those with the password.

Note: "Private" and "Password Protected" pastes are hidden from the public, but the Administration may review them if they are reported for violating our Abuse Policy.

4. How many pastes can I create?

To prevent spam, we use the following daily limits:

Guests: 10 pastes per 24 hours.
Registered Members: 25 pastes per 24 hours.
Pro Members: Unlimited (contact support for high-volume needs).

5. Why do I see a CAPTCHA?

Our spam filter triggers a CAPTCHA if it detects:

Rapid-fire posting (flooding).
Multiple links in a single paste.
"Suspicious" keywords or duplicate content.

6. How do I get content removed?

Your own pastes: Delete them directly from your dashboard while logged in.
Guest pastes: Use the "Report Abuse" button on the paste page or email us.
DMCA/Copyright: Email support@copy-paste.xyz with the specific URL and proof of ownership. We typically process these within 24 hours.

7. What is the maximum paste size?

The limit is 512 KB per paste. This is more than enough for thousands of lines of code.

8. Do my pastes stay online forever?

You can set an Expiration Date (e.g., 10 minutes, 1 day, 1 month). If set to "Never," the paste stays indefinitely. However, we reserve the right to delete pastes that have zero views for over 1 year to save server space.

9. Can I change my username or delete my account?

Username: Contact support or check your account settings.
Deletion: You can delete your account at any time via the Settings page. This action is permanent and will remove all your data.
